Can you please help?
As all of you know I have been involved with Startup Weekends that promotes entrepreneurship in our community. If you are monitoring your email this weekend we could really use your input. The team I am working with is testing and prototyping a time clock replacement.
The product replaces the time clock for any employee with a smart phone. The product is a mobile app paired with a website that uses location detection to clock hourly workers in and out of work as they enter and leave the building. The system would eliminate the common error of employees forgetting to punch in or out. The system will also create management alerts for hourly employees that have not taken required breaks and lunch reducing the liability of those errors.
Here are the questions that the team needs feedback on:
1. What do you estimate the processing cost of your current time card system to be?
2. How many hourly employees do you have?
3. Is it okay to use your name and business in the presentation they will do on Sunday night?
If any of you are interested in seeing the great concepts being worked on by the next generation you are welcome to come visit with the teams. The event is in the Advanced Technology Lab on the Cal Poly campus.
Thanks,
Bob Dumouchel
